N2 - From the fact that the ballast-track tunnel has smaller noise than the slab-track tunnel, we suggested new inner tunnel models to decrease the noise of the micro-pressure wave. We suggested two main types of models, one using perforated steel plates and another using porous resin. In this paper we clarified the effect of these models, by full experimental investigation, using the high-speed train tunnel simulator. As a result, these models are not "ballast", but had the same, or much more effect decreasing the noise of the spouting micro-pressure wave. And they can be applicable to practical tunnel noise reduction.
