We have found that construction of the novel supramolecular aggregates utilizing the hydrogen bonds between host block copolymer polystyrene-block- poly(4-vinylpyridine) (PS-b-P4VP) and guest fullerene carboxylic acid (1). TEM and SEM observation revealed that the size and morphology of the generated composites are spherical and quite uniform. The size and morphology of composites are dependent on composition of PS-b-P4VP. Interestingly, mixing of two different PS-b-P4VP copolymers with 1 provided two different size composites. This indicates that formation of two "homo" aggregates becomes more stable than that of one "mixed" aggregate.
