Charge carrier trapping effect by luminescent dopant molecules in single-layer organic light emitting diodes

抄録

The electroluminescent (EL) behaviors of single-layer organic light emitting diode (SOLED), with inert polymers as binder and coumarin 6 or rubrene as dopants, were investigated. The photoluminescence and EL spectra and current density-voltage-luminance characteristics showed the charge carrier trapping and energy transfer processes as a function of dopant concentrations. EL quantum efficiency was enhanced by the carrier trapping of rubrene molecules.
