Comments on summation of elementary pinning forces

抄録

Some comments are made on existing theories of the macroscopic pinning force on the basis of our recent theory. The theory was developed using irreversible statistical thermodynamics from the viewpoint that the pinning force is the value of the Lorentz force at a bifurcation point where the transport current density equals the critical current density. Above this bifurcation point a nondissipative state of the fluxoid lattice carrying the transport current becomes unstable and a dynamic dissipative state called the flux flow appears. The Ising spin system is considered.
