N2 - Common-mode conducted noise in switching converters frequently causes radiated noise emission from their power code, so it is important to reduce this noise to meet EMC. In this paper common-mode conducted noise is much reduced in the Watkins-Johnson converter by current cancellation. The mechanism of the noise reduction is investigated, and the condition for the noise reduction is obtained by experiments.
