Organic-metallic hybrid materials have received much attention as functional nanodevices having novel magnetic, spectroscopic and electrochemical properties. In our group, metallosupramolecular coordination polymers were developed as functional modular elements. To produce new organic-metallic hybrid polymers having novel photochemical and electrochemical properties, 1,4-bis(terpyridyl)benzene derivatives with several substituents were prepared. Those new metallosupramolecular coordination polymers were examined by analytical ultracentrifugation, CV, UV-vis, AFM and so on, and then, the properties were compared.
