The saturated interstitial loop density was examined in Fe-Cr-Ni austenitic ternary alloys irradiated with fast neutrons, fusion neutrons and electrons. Damage rate dependence of the loop density exhibited the effects of difference in nominal (calculated) damage rate (dpa/s) and in the PKA energy spectrum separately. Enhancement of the loop density by cascades was estimated which increased with decreasing temperature and nominal damage rate. Since extensive understanding of the damage rate dependence of loop evolution, which has been obtained by HVEM studies, made the present correlation possible, it is of urgent necessity to acquire reliable models of the damage rate dependence of void evolution for developing a simulation-fusion correlation of void swelling.
