The authors regret the following statement on page 2, section Methods: “Female participants were not considered because repeated trials of force exertion could be physically demanding for them” as it could unintentionally imply that one individual is superior to another on grounds such as gender, which is not in line with the journal's guidelines on inclusive language. Although the current study only recruited male participants, further studies need to be done for overcoming this limitation by including diverse groups of participants with mixed age and gender. The authors would like to sincerely apologise for any discomfort and inconvenience caused. We would like to reassure readers that this does not affect any other content of the article.
