Crystallization behavior of (poly (lactic acid)/imogolite nanofiber) composite

抄録

It is important to investigate the crystallization behavior of (biodegradable Polymer/nanofiller) composite because it ultimately governs mechanical, optical, thermal properties and biodegradability. In this study, the influence of inorganic nanofiber, "imogolite" on crystallization behaviors of poly(lactic acid) (PLA) was investigated by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and polarized optical microscopy (POM). PLA/ octadecyl phosphonic acid (OPA) modified imogolite composite films were prepared by solution blending. The addition of imogolite modified with OPA resulted in the increase in crystal nucleation density.
