N2 - SOFC can use various kinds of fuels besides hydrogen, including city gas, coal gas, digestion gas, and biogas. On the other hand, it is known that such practical fuels contain various fuel impurities such as sulfur, phosphorus, and siloxane, affecting fuel cell performance and durability. Here, a case study for siloxane as a model SOFC fuel impurity is made to understand the impurity poisoning phenomena through both electrochemical and microstructural analysis to analyze poisoning processes, especially by applying the DRT (Distribution of Relaxation Times) analysis.
