Particulate flows in a partially filled, horizontal rotating cylinder are simulated by DEM (Distinct Element Method) and verified by non-invasive MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging). The dynamic angle of repose and velocity field are compared. The DEM code has been extended to accommodate collisions between non-spherical particles.
