抄録

The arbiters in this paper are classified into two types. The operation of each type is defined in detail. Based on such definitions, the input will not satisfy the condition of the conventional asynchronous arbiter. The conversion and the relationship between the two types of arbiters are described. Also presented are two approaches for constructing an arbiter with a large number of ports using the combination of several arbiters with fewer ports. The design method developed here is based on the extension of the existing methods for the traditional arbiters.
