Ejection of larvae from nests by workers was studied in the paper wasp species Polistes jokahamae Radoszkowski 1887. The ejection was one of major mortality factors for the fourth and fifth larvae. The ejection occurred after disappearance of queens from nests. Both female and males larvae were ejected. Most of ejected larvae were alive at the ejection. Ejected larvae showed no symptom of parasitism.
