Evaluation of pluripotency in human intenstinal cells by microfluidic-based single cell deformability analysis

    In this study, we have developed a microfluidic device that can analyze the pluripotency of cells by measuring the cell deformability based on ionic current sensing at a single cell level. We successfully identified human colon cancer cells (HT29) with high and low pluripotency based on the deformability information and the result was confirmed by a biochemical assay, Aldehyde Dehydrogenase (ALDH) assay, which is an important biomarker of the pluripotency.
