Sensor-To-controller delay in a feedback control system possessing wireless devices is considered in this paper. There is a concern that communication delay would increase when wireless communication is used for remote control instead of wired one. The purpose of this paper is to verify an effectiveness of a networked control system designed against increased communication delay by estimating output by using a particle filter. A remote control experimental system possessing wireless devices is constructed. There is a communication delay in the system, and the output estimation by using a particle filter is implemented in a Distributed Control System (DCS) device in experiment. There is room for improvement in the accuracy of estimation. However, manipulated variable saturation and hunting of the output are reduced.
