In this study, the authors defined medium-fluidity concrete as concrete with a slump of more than 180 mm and a slump flow of less than 500 mm. Such a concrete can be manufactured without segregation and placed in forms with slight vibration. Its quality can be controlled easily in plants. The purpose of this study is to establish the manufacturing method of medium-fluidity concrete. From the results of the experiments with mix design and various physical properties, it was found that, as compared with ordinary concrete, by slightly increasing the amount of admixture, medium-fluidity concrete can acquire sufficient fluidity, and can be manufactured easily in plants using existing equipment.
