N2 - We report a fabrication of 3D fractal structures applicable to a separation medium for liquid chromatography (LC). Through a laminated object manufacturing based on soft-lithography with a UV curable polymer, Menger-sponges, one of the fractal structures, were fabricated with the simplest equipment, such as a lap top UV light and optical adhesives. We also tested surface modifications by silane-coupling reaction. As results, wettability of UV-curable resins was changed drastically. Fabrication of 3D structure and surface modification are promising to contribute for the development of new separation medium for LC analysis.
