Flame-spread behavior of one-dimensional fuel-droplet arrays with uneven inter-droplet distance was studied. Flame-spread probability of randomly-distributed droplets is considered to depend on the local condition of flame-spread-limit distance. Dependence of flame-spread probability on occupation fraction of droplets in one-dimensionally-arranged lattice points was calculated based on flame-spread-limit distance with even inter-droplet distance. There are many patterns of droplet arrangements for each occupation fraction. The droplet-array patterns with high appearance frequencies were chosen to be investigated whether a local flame-spread-limit distance with uneven inter-droplet distance is different from that with even inter-droplet distance, or not. The droplets were hung on the fibers, and droplets of equal size were arranged in a straight line at uneven inter-droplet distances. N-decane was used as a fuel. The results showed that possible increase in flame-spread-limit distance by arrangement of droplet array with uneven inter-droplet distance. Flame spread probability was increased by a local interference effect of fuel droplets.
