抜粋

This paper describes the effect of the spacing between two adjoining circular cylinders and oscillation frequency on the flow around two-dimensional oscillating circular cylinders. The experiment was carried out in an N.P.L blow-down-type wind tunnel with a working section of 400×400 ×2 000 mm, at the Reynolds number of 9.4×103. The cylinders were then forced to oscillate sinusoidally in the lift direction. The frequency of vortices shedding from the circular cylinder, the time-mean and fluctuating surface pressure distribution on the circular cylinder were measured for the displacement in the vibration. The present results were compared with those for the case of fixed circular cylinders. Consequently it was found that the phase lag occurs between fluctuating lift and vibrating displacement in an in-phase mode vibration and an out-of-phase one.
