High-speed On-chip Mixing Utilizing Vortex Generation by Ultra-high-speed Local Flow

We succeeded in high-speed on-chip mixing utilizing on-demand generation of vortex by high-speed flow control. Utilizing on-chip membrane pumps, we can generate the vortex at the local point in a microchannel even in a static flow. Applying this technique to the onchip mixing, the results showed the mixing time of 500 micro-seconds. From the result, we confirmed that we achieved the on-demand high-speed mixing on a chip was achieved.
