We have successfully fabricated an implantable drug delivery system (IDDS) on a chip actuated by electrically-induced bubbles which can be directionally ejected with high-speed enough to penetrate a thin membrane. The ambient flow produced around high-speed ejected bubbles is expected to lead the drug solution from the device to the surrounding target, while the line of high-speed micro-bubbles tries to thrust the membrane to break-down. This study has potential to contribute to be used as on-demand injecting system for biomedical field.
