N2 - In previous study, wind tunnel experiment for a real apartment complex was conducted to confirm the reproducibility of flow fieldwith field measurement values. In this study, a wind tunnel experiment for the same complex was conducted to comprehend the behaviors of turbulence and mean characteristics of canyon vortices within real urban canyons. Mean flow field within the each canyon was the almost same flow motion which formed large canyon vortex. It was found that within the real canyon, the helical vortex generated by the flow from the side edge and the roof of the upstream building was formed. The detailed motion of the helical vortex is influenced by the building shapes, street width and positions of surrounding buildings.
