抄録

A study was carried out to test whether a 4-state biochemical model with length dependent rate constants could explain contractile behavior of ejecting hearts. Studies were performed in isolated, physiologically afterloaded canine hearts and intracellular calcium transients measured with macroinjected aequorin. Results help bridge the gap between basic molecular research and whole organ physiology.
