MICROFLUIDIC METHODOLOGIES FOR PRODUCTION OF SMALL-SIZED VARIOUS ARTIFICIAL EXOSOMES

抄録

This paper describes microfluidic methodologies for production of sub-100 nm sized various types of artificial exosomes by separately injecting of phospholipids dissolved ethanol solution. The separated injection method allowed production of smaller-sized artificial exosomes with high encapsulation efficiency of small interfering RNA (siRNA) regardless of natural exosome-like lipid systems than the conventional combined injection method. The prepared artificial exosomes were taken into cells depending on the average sizes, lipid systems, and cell types. This microfluidic method is expected to contribute to exosomal research and development of exosomal nanomedicines.
