We propose a new hypothesis that inhibitory potentials of the intercellular communication play an important role in the tumorigenesis induced by various biomaterials. The tumor promoting activities of biomaterials were caused by some additives, some catalysts, the leachable oligomers and surface interaction cell/materials.
