N2 - In this paper, we present our work on operational cost optimization problem of a microgrid with renewable energy and EV batteries. The sequential distributed consensus alternative direction method of multipliers which utilizes the average consensus of multi-agent system is applied to solve the problem in a distributed way. We also adopt an EV charging strategy with 3 charging scenarios to ensure a sufficient EV energy for EV trips. Furthermore, Toyota demonstration data is used for case studies. The simulation results show the usefulness of the distributed approach and characteristic of each EV charging scenario.
