Role-Playing Games (RPGs) provide the user with a wide variety of decisions that can be taken in order to move the story forward. It gives the user an illusion that making different choices will lead to different results and to some extent, this holds true but in the end the user is guided in a certain direction as dictated by the scripts. This has more to do with the lack of choices that the non-playable characters have in order to complete their objectives. The authors propose a system where every character has some specific objectives and to achieve those objectives the character formulates a plan and acts on it according to its defined ethical orientation. As a result, the user gets a dynamic system where every character has the possibility of influencing a change which results in an unpredictable outcome.
