Structurally well-defined synthetic polymers with stereoregularity, chirality, helicity, and assembly are versatile materials for conjugation with biomolecules, and hybridization of these polymers with various biomolecules such as polypeptide and protein will expand its potentialities for biomedical applications. In this paper, peptides that bind to poly(L-lactide) (PLLA) were selected from the 7-mer peptide library. The spin coated film of PLLA was formed on a glass plate, and the biopanning was carried out on the film with the phage display peptide library. After four rounds of biopanning, sixteen individual sequences were obtained from the 30 phage clones. We quantified the binding property between the selected peptides and PLLA by the enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).
