N2 - The Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and the Kyushu University (KU) are participating in a Coordinated Research Project (CRP) of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on the Experimental Breeder Reactor II (EBR-H) Shutdown Heat Removal Test (SHRT) by providing calculations of transients with the SIMMER code. In order to carry out the EBR-II benchmark, in particular SHRT-45R, an extended SIMMER version has been developed by introducing specific Equations of State (EOS) and the Thermo-Physical Properties (TPP) for the EBR-II fuel and a new core thermal expansion reactivity model. In the paper, an overview of the results obtained for SHRT-45R is presented.
