Simulation and modeling for pyrolysis, catalytic partial oxidation, and anode reactions in SOFC of hydrocarbons based on detailed chemistry

抄録

"Modeling and simulation" is acknowledged as "Third Branch of Science" in addition to theory and experiment because it bridges gaps between them. Many of observations are difficult to be interpreted purely by theory. One has still to understand them through the modeling and simulation, of which major purpose is to predict unknown phenomenon resulting in one's benefit efficiently. Modeling methods as well as simulation tools that give precise and comprehensive predictions are thus desired. This paper introduces the state-of-the-art research of the modeling and simulation with detailed chemical kinetic approaches for chemical process involving complex chemical reactions such as hydrocarbon pyrolysis, catalytic partial oxidation, and SOFC anode reactions.
