This study is focused on the influence of spreading multiple dipoles upon spatio temporal magnetic fields and electric potentials on the surface of the head. We assumed that the sources of electrical activity in the human brain are represented by multiple dipoles that exist in a limited source area. Using this source model, we simulated the spatio-temporal pattern of magnetic fields and electric potentials. The computer simulation shows that the conduction velocity of excitation and conduction area has a significant effect upon the waveforms and amplitudes of MEG and EEG.
