For a calibration of the satelliteborne cloud radar, widely distributed natural target is necessary for the difficulty of antenna beam pointing of satellite. Sea surface scattering is considered as one of good targets. The problem is that a sea surface scattering property in millimeter wave (95GHz) is not reported. Then the measurements of sea surface scattering by CRL airborne cloud radar (SPIDER) were performed around Japan sea area or Pacific Ocean. The sea surface property measured from this experiment is similar to that measured in microwave scatterometer.
