Recently, the behavior of amphiphilic block copolymers in aqueous solutions has attracted considerable attention. We investigated the self-assembly of Poly(ethylene glycol)-block-Poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PEG-b-PNIPAM) in water. PEG-b-PNIPAM are synthesized by the atom transfer radical polymerization of NIPAM using PEG macro-initiator. By dynamic light scattering measurements, it is suggested that micro phase separation occurs above 20°C to form disordered micelles.
