N2 - We experimentally studied a wavelength-reuse method in a wavelength-division multiplexed passive optical network (WDM-PON) employing differential phase-shift keying (DPSK) and on-off keying (OOK) in the down-stream and the upstream, respectively. After bidirectional transmission over a 10km fiber, the performance of the upstream transmission was affected by the downstream signal through fiber dispersion.
