We report two cases of vasoocclusive retinopathy associated with antiphospholipid antibody syndrome, defined by the presence of lupus anticoagulant. One patient had retinal vessel obstruction, a history of habitual abortion, and previous brain infarction. The other patient had retinal vessel obstruction, retinal neovascularization, thrombophlebitis of the legs, and previous brain infarction. Because lupus anticoagulant was detected in both patients, disorders of coagulation were thought to be the cause of retinal vessel obstruction in these patients.
