抜粋

A nonlinear electric circuit model of the whole length basilar membrane (BM) of the human is constructed. It is of transmission analogue type. As the combination tone (CT) cancellation is attained in real time, all CT characteristics are obtained from actual cancellation, and direct comparisons with psychological results are allowed. Two-tone suppression is examined in terms of the averaged value of AC output voltages, which is regarded as a monotonic function of pulse rate in auditory nerve fiber. From the results of the experiments it is seen that the model response has general shapes similar to physiological results. Thoughts are expressed that the model will present suggested experiments which encourage psychophysical or physiological experiments.
