Ultrasonic generation by laser-induced grating and its application to chemical measurements

抄録

Thermal grating and tunable ultrasonic waves are generated by the intersection of two laser beams of the same frequency, and are detected by Bragg diffraction technique. Using this technique, trace analysis and ultrasonic velocity and attenuation measurements were carried out for liquid samples. This method has been proved to be a useful tool for the nondestructive and noncontact evaluation of condensed matter such as liquids.
