The velocity distribution of inelastic granular gas in a homogeneous cooling state was studied using molecular dynamic simulations. After several inelastic collisions, the initial Maxwell-Boltzmann distribution of the equilibrium state falled in the stationary state of velocity distribution as predicted by Boltzmann's equations. But after intial transient the state returned to the Maxwellian, till the setting up of the clustering instability. The final result was the invalidation of the assumption of molecular chaos and the failure of Boltzmann equation.
